Here’s something new. On Thursday 17 May, Forrestburn hosted a film crew from the United States. They were the media journalists for Motor Trend one of the largest motoring video magazines in the US. They were testing the new Aston Martin Vantage and Audi R8 V10. It was an all-day session and they picked Forrestburn Speed Hill Climb as they were impressed by the challenging nature of the venue and its idyllic setting.
Gordon opened the gates for them in the morning, albeit a bit delayed as both cars suffered punctures en route. Shonah and I arrived at 19.00 to close up but filming was still going on. Giving us time to check out the cars at close quarters.
The drivers were Johnny Liebermann and Jethro Bovingdon who had just returned from the Nurburgring 24-hour race.
This is a great bit of publicity for MSCC and they are keen to return at some point. We look forward to seeing the video.
