Knockhill Track NightMonklands Sporting Car Club is delighted to announce two track nights at Knockhill for 2014. The first is just weeks away on Monday 28 July, followed by Wednesday 27 August 2014. As usual, all nights are open pit lane and run from 6pm till 8pm. Sign on is open from 5pm and there is a mandatory drivers briefing at 5.45pm.

Cost is £70 in advance or £80 on the night for each event. Online registration details are available here for the July event – details and registration for the August event will be published later.

What you need to know:

  1. Sign on from 5pm, mandatory drivers briefing at 5.45pm, track open from 6 till 8pm. Please remember to bring your driving licence, and have this ready at sign on.
  2. Passengers are welcome, one at a time please and in the front seat.
  3. All cars must be roadworthy with seatbelts, no single seat formula type race cars. If you are not sure if your car will be allowed, please contact Knockhill on 01383 723337.
  4. Helmets are mandatory for all drivers and passengers.
  5. The track night is operated by Knockhill Racing Circuit and their decision on vehicle and driving standards is final. There are no refunds for being excluded.
  6. Cancellations more than 24 hours before the track night will be refunded in full minus any credit card fees applicable. No refunds applicable within 24 hours, though track night spaces are fully transferrable to other drivers, please advise as soon as possible.
  7. This is a fun night, please be courteous on track and enjoy yourself!

A couple of other things – I guess many of you will have smart-phones on the night. If you could fire off some images we could use on the website (when you are safely out of the car) it would be genuinely appreciated. Also, if anyone feels like turning their hand to a bit of journalism a nice wee report on the evening’s proceedings would be fab….and some kind of reward might be arranged. 300-400 words would be ideal.

Bookings are now open so hit up the link and sign up for a wonderful evening. Dry sunny weather has also been provisionally booked, so we look forward to seeing you on the night.
