Monklands Sporting Car Club together with Scottish Motor Sport is running a “taster” event for engineering students from a number of further education colleges on Monday 26 November 2018 at Forrestburn. This will take the form of a Gymkhana with simple tests around the track and the colleges will be bringing their own cars.
We hope this it will encourage some of the students to take part in future events not only at Forrestburn but at other Scottish venues.
West College Scotland, Borders College, Fife College and Dundee and Angus College will all take part. The Glasgow University racing team will be bringing the car they built and raced in the 2018 Formula Student Challenge for a demonstration run. The event will run from 10 am to 3 pm. We need marshals to supervise and keep scores on the tests so if anyone is available between 10 am and 3 pm on the 26 November please contact Jamie Gibbon on jgjagspares1@gmail.com .
