The results for Sunday’s Production Car Trial are available here and on the Events page here – a day to forget apparently. All the usual photographers and script writers opted out of their duties so thank goodness for Chairman McRobbie who put these fine words together.
“First of all a very big thank you to the marshals who endured the arctic conditions. It was well above the call of duty. To those who did not attend the event we abandoned the trial at lunch time as the weather was so bad. Thanks to Shona for cheering us up with the hot soup and the barbecue. Boy did we need it!! This was by far the worse weather suffered since we started car trials back in 1993. So again many thanks to all who attended and accepted the curtailing of the event at lunchtime. For the next trial on the 30 March as they say in the song “things can only get better.”
Thank you Gordon for that heart-tugging whine. A lot of complaining but a staunch effort. I’m glad I wasn’t there.
