The sun again shone on the righteous as competitors in the 25 March trial at Forrestburn enjoyed a sunny Spring day. Competition was close and it was good to see a couple of entrants in Class 1 (FWD saloon cars) in contrast to some previous trials. The usual culprits were present in the remaining classes.
All the hill layouts featured some changes and several competitors were caught out by following old tracks in the grass. Provisional class wins went to the Seat Ibiza of (?) Marshall, the MGB of Douglas Paterson which appeared to be carrying two tons of ballast, judging by how soft the rear tyres appeared, and the retina searing Canary yellow Clan of Scott Clements. Class 4 for Specials was won by Nita Ewart.
